I've created a calendar from some of my favourite campus cats and kittens photos from Istanbul in June this year. For images of all the contents please see my Journal entry "Soooo busy ... roll on Christmas".
I've not had much chance to get onto deviantART recently so I've been a bit slow in saying thanks to people for faves, llamas and for watching. Hopefully, with Christmas approaching, things will slow down a bit - although I have quite a lot of writing to do on various issues around marine pollution, maritime security and protecting the marine environment.
For those of you who have asked about the 2014 Campus Cats Calendar, the images in the calendar appear below (although some have been edited to fit the calendar). I had a great time photographing all these cats while in Istanbul earlier this year and wanted a reminder for myself so made the calendar. I'm really happy with it and hopefully my sisters will be too as they are all getting one as part of their Christmas pressie.
Cats are in month order (including a 13th image for the back cover). Some of the images have been cropped to fit in with the calendar style and show more cat and less background and the image for October (photo 10) is the top left image from the compilation:
I will be posting more Wales photos - including more of trains, some flowers from Beddgelert, and also some photos of the Rhyl Airshow. I also have some photos to sort out from the German Market which is on in Leeds at the moment. Went in with one of my sisters on a nice sunny but cold day and so they will appear at some point in the near future when I have had time to go through them.
All the best to my watchers and friends.
My day job is doing research on marine environmental protection and maritime policy - I am passionate about making sure the seas are safe and clean for everyone to use.
My husband reckons I must have been an elf in a previous life - aren't elves attracted to the sea? I would really like to live near the sea at some point, rather than in Leeds (UK) but at least it is a green city and I live near Roundhay Park. Ideally I would spend my winters on Mallorca (somewhere near Puerto Pollensa would be great) and then spend my summers in North Wales. Oh well, maybe at some point in the future.
My hobbies are photography - obviously - and gardening - also obviously considering how many of my photos are of flowers and plants. I am also keen on walking in the hills around North Wales, holidaying ever year in that area (mostly in Porthmadog) with my family. I also read a lot and do various types of needlecraft - embroidery, tapestry, patchwork, knitting and crochet.
I hope you enjoy my photos - I really enjoy taking them.
If you are here to thank me for a fav, it is my pleasure
If you are here to thank me for a , you definitely deserve it
I try and thank everyone for watching, llamas and favs but if I miss you - many apologies
Thanks to all those who keep coming back and faving more photos - I'm happy you keep finding things that you like
